5 Great Stretches for RVers

This video will show you 5 stretches you can do from a seated position, right inside the RV, that will help you maintain your flexibility and improve your posture. You’ll get your blood flowing and will feel satisfyingly energized…a great way to start your day of RV adventures.

Here’s my challenge to you:

Try these stretches for the next 7 days, and then come report back in the comments. In just 7 days time, my guess is you’ll already notice things like: better posture, improved range of motion, better flexibility, less aches & pains. If you try it, come back and let me (and other readers) know your improvements! We can help motivate each other to stay on the fitness wagon…which sometimes can be difficult to do.

Why is daily stretching so important?

Daily stretching can help combat age-related changes to our muscle tissue…which tend to get stiffer and more fibrous the older we get, leaving us less flexible than our younger years. As RVers who spend a lot of time sitting and driving, we are even more set up for stiff muscles and joints. Plus, living out of such a compact space, we get less natural movement in our ADLs (activities of daily living) than non-RVers.

Each of the stretches are “dynamic,” which means you’ll slowly move through them instead of holding still. Dynamic stretches not only help increase your flexibility, they’ll also improve your joint range of motion.

As always, I love to hear from you…let me know once you’ve tried them what you think!
