The contestants in our Biggest-loser style competition have reached the halfway point! We are 6 weeks in to our 12 week competition, and the staff at The Hitch House have shrunk a collective 50 pounds since we started. Pretty awesome, right?! Check out this video to see their weigh-ins and some of the quirky ways they’ve been staying fit:
The big question is…can they keep up their success for the final 6 weeks? Now that the novelty has worn off, it could be pretty easy for them to start slipping back into old habits. James and I have been encouraging a slow and healthful weight loss with our two competing teams, so we’ve got a lot of faith in our contestants. No one’s crash dieting or on some radical “cabbage soup” starvation diet, no sirree!
In fact, we all can take a lesson from the Hitch House contestants. For successful, long-term weight loss, we must make PERMANENT changes in our health habits, and that’s exactly what they’ve been working towards. After all, the foundation of a healthy lifestyle is a balanced, calorie-controlled diet combined with regular exercise. The Hitch House staff has been putting this in practice for the past 6 weeks. James and I are super proud of their hard work and impressed with their determination.
Need Your Feedback!
Please watch the video and don’t forget to leave some encouragement in the comments below! It’s much more motivating for the contestants to know others are watching and rooting for them. And, if you have any questions for the contestants (or us), let us know. In our next video, we hope to do a Q&A with the contestants, so reader questions would be appreciated!
You should run a Biggest Loser competition for RVers too. I’d sign up. Plus I’d make the husband sign up (who needs it more than me), lol.
Go teams! I’ve enjoyed watching the videos and seeing the progress.
I suggested to my wife we try those crazy yoga partner moves in the video. She hasn’t stopped laugh-crying since. Keep up the good work, contestants!
Way to go, Hitch House! Congrats and keep going! 🙂
