My son, Tyler, turns 25 today! How did that happen so quickly? To celebrate, we had the kids over for a birthday slash baby shower party. James is hammocking with grandbaby Amelia in the photo during the party, and Das Bus watches on in the background. Yes, Das Bus is home for the weekend. Taking a well deserved rest after the 1500+ miles she stoically put on for us during our trip last week.
As you can see by the girth on my daughter-in-law Anna, grandbaby two is just about here! A little boy this time. I’ll have one of each. Perfect. More great news! I finally convinced my daughter Mackenzie to move to Salt Lake City to be near us! She’s all moved in just 5 minutes down the road and is currently looking for a hair stylist job. Anyone need a cut? Fingers crossed something comes up soon!
In honor of our New Mexico roots, we had a chile pepper piñata!
We played pin the pacifier on the baby!
We climbed trees!
We blew out candles!
We opened exciting baby shower presents!
All in all, it was a GREAT weekend at home with our family, and there’s nowhere else I’d rather have been.
While it’s nice sometimes to get on the road, put lots of miles behind you and your real “life,” and drive so far you’ve escaped everything you know, sometimes it’s good to point that RV in the other direction. Sometimes it’s good…no, BETTER than good… to go home.
