RVers do a lot of driving. And since that means we have to sit a lot, our glute muscles pay the price. When we sit for long durations, our glutes are under constant pressure and don’t do any work. This causes them to atrophy, which can potentially lead to all sorts of future injuries. For this reason, RVers especially need to include butt exercises into their regular workout routines.
On our recent 5,000 mile roadtrip, I was more than aware of the marathon sitting James and I had been doing, and the toll it was placing on our glutes. This no-equipment butt workout, filmed at the amazing Advanced RV factory in Ohio, was inspired from that crazy 90-hours-of-driving roadtrip! And what better setting? Advanced RV is well known for their focus on healthy RVing, and they even practice what they preach…offering lunchtime yoga and bootcamp classes to employees, and they even have an in-house gym for their employees!
In this exercise video, I use one of the Advanced RVs in production, “Bam Bam,” as my workout assistant. If you don’t have your own Bam Bam, no problem. Simply use a wall or a counter…something to hold onto since some of the butt exercises in the video require some balancing. Follow along with me for a fun and unique bootie workout so you can get back in that driver’s seat!
