Campsite-Friendly Resistance Bands Workout Video

Hi gang! I’m so happy to share my latest follow-along workout video with you! Here it is:

Since there were ants everywhere at our campsite, I was inspired to keep this workout all standing. There are so many reasons it might be not ideal to lie down on a mat at the campsite… damp ground, rocks, bugs, mud, etc. So it’s nice to have some exercise options that keep you up and away from all that yuck.

One Very Important Thing I Didn’t Mention in the Video:

When standing on resistance bands outside, you want to make sure your surface is either completely smooth, or you want to put a mat down. Bands can break if there are any sharp bits under your feet, and even sand can start to wear them down. Especially since resistance bands are hard to come by these days, you want to protect yours all you can. You’ll see in the video I double matted mine by using both an RV mat and a yoga mat. Keep that in mind when choosing your workout space!

The Bands I Recommend:

You can see my bag of bands in the video, and they’re still the same Bodylastics brand kit I’ve been using for years and I highly recommend this brand (no affiliation!) especially for the safety cord that runs inside them that prevents them from hurting you if they were to snap. My kit is probably overkill for the majority of you, and I usually just recommend Bodylastics’ smaller kits for RVers, which have the same stuff as mine, just less of it. And while they are sold out right now, I’ve emailed their customer service, and found out they will be getting a new shipment and they’ll be back in stock in 3-4 weeks! So hang tight. Keeping watching their website and if you see them in stock don’t hesitate to order!

      Hi Stef!
Thank you for the exercise videos. We are 67 and camp as much as we can. We want to get started doing some exercises while camping. We like the idea of resistance bands because they are lightweight and take up little room. A lot of times, we have no access to the internet. Is there a way to download your videos so we can watch them offline? Other option would be a cheat sheet with a picture of each pose. Thank you for any help you can give us.

Hey there, Rod! I’m so glad the workouts have been useful! I do have many printable workout plans here on the FitRV, if you just do a search in the search box on the home page of “printable” you should be able to find them all. You can also view all my workouts by hitting the “Workouts” tab on the homepage too. And as for the follow-along workout videos, I know there are ways to download YouTube videos, though you usually have to download something to be able to. I’ve never done it personally but if you do a Google search you’ll get lots of hits on how to do it. Best of luck, and keep exercising!
