Got Healthy Hips? You Will if You Do These!

Most of the exercise videos I post are just me. I talk, I demonstrate, and hopefully you take something away.

Perhaps it’s because it’s the dead of winter, but in a moment of insanity, I asked James to guest star this time. Those of you who know us can imagine how this goes. With a little silliness thrown in, James and I demonstrate exercises to improve your hip mobility and stability.

The exercises we cover are:

1) Hip Rolls: standing or on a ball

2) Lungebacks and Tapbacks

3) Giant Walks and Lunge Walks

4) Hip Abductor Stretch Leans

5) Sidelunging Stretches

6) Lying Hip Rotators

Since long drives take a toll on our hips, RVers need to be mindful of keeping our hips healthy. Hip exercises like these are designed to do just that; ensuring that we stretch and strengthen in the 6 movement patterns of the hip joint. Do these exercises to fully work your hips and ensure you are ready for long hours behind the wheel, or long nights around the campfire!

Give them a try and let me know if you have any questions. And y’all know how much I love getting comments, so scroll down and say hi (I’ll be so happy)!

Remember, keep your fitness non-negotiable, and if you do, you’ll be on the road a long, long time.

Rooting for you as always…Stef

Glad you found it useful, Tina! Running, as awesome as it is, can be tough on the hips…good for you for taking care of yours!

Have you ever thought about putting these exercises in print format? Maybe a very simplistic format. When we start RVing (soon) I will probably forget what I saw in the video…but maybe a little stick person with a basic explanation…I would so print that and have it with us so when we need to stretch, we can pull this out and do some. Just a thought. Great video!!

LOL! First off, SO happy you’re doing Curves 3x per week…you go girl! Second, chewing and exercising at the same time is not recommended. 😉
