In the December issue of RV Magazine (Go subscribe! Use our code for 25% off too!), I shared an inside cardio workout based on Around the World patterns. The Around the World pattern just means you’re going to do a move to the front first, then to the sides, then to the back to complete the pattern. I’ve made this corresponding video so you can see it in action!
You can use this video to follow along the first few times you do it, but my hope is you’ll eventually get the patterns down and you can do them on your own without having to go through the effort of firing up the video. That way you can slow down or speed up the patterns instead of having to stick with the tempo I set.
Here’s the workout plan you’ll be doing if you follow this video:
CIRCUIT #1:
30-60 secs walk/jog in place
Around the World with Toe Taps:
- 10 front taps left, then 10 right
- 10 side taps left, then 10 right
- 10 back taps left, then 10 right
CIRCUIT #2:
30-60 secs walk/jog in place
Around the World with Straight Leg Lifts:
- 10 front lifts left, then 10 right
- 10 side lifts left, then 10 right
- 10 back lifts left, then 10 right
CIRCUIT #3:
30-60 secs walk/jog in place
Around the World with Lunges:
- 10 front lunges left, then 10 right
- 10 side lunges left, then 10 right
- 10 back lunges left, then 10 right
Exercise Directions: In the video we’ll repeat this routine twice, but when you do this on your own you can set a timer and keep repeating the patterns as many times as you need until you’ve reached your time goal. Make sure you’re using good posture, and keep your core tight. If you want to get your heart rate even higher, get your arms into it! You can also grab two cans and hold them while you go through the routine.
So, there you go! Now the next time the weather outside is frightful, you’ve got no excuse! You don’t even have to change out of your PJ’s! (…because really, isn’t that the best part of at-home (or at-RV!) workouts?
Be well, all! And remember, exercise is the best anti-aging health-boosting medicine out there… go get a dose today!
xo, Stef
Thanks to Camping World in St. George Utah for letting me loose in their RVs to film this vid and take pics for my RV Magazine spread! Make sure y’all swing in and visit them when you’re rolling through southern Utah!
I’m starting to use this routine often. I appreciate all your exercise videos. Thank you!
I’m glad you’re finding it useful! Stay strong and keep exercising! xo
Hi Stefany, I just started using your workout videos. They’re great!! I live in a tiny condo (386 sf!) and it is gratifying to get that cardio or resistance band workout in without having to leave my home!
Been a fan of James and you and your RV adventures for a while.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Angie

why didnt you guys buy the coachman cross trail 20xg? you did a video of it a while back.
We go through that, including a detailed scoring process for the Coachmen, in this post: https://www.thefitrv.com/blog/rv-model-comparisons-and-weve-chosen-our-next-rv/
Glad you tried it! Hopefully you’ll continue to do the workout on the regular! Be well, Joe… and stay strong! xo
Thank you… it’s not winter but Thanksgiving I’ve got to work off. The intensity is perfect!
(James has gotten plenty of air time with his mods!)
